"Waiting On" Wednesday! 19

It's Not You, It's Me by Kerry Cohen Hoffmann

Funny and touching—this is a heartfelt breakup story.

Zoe loves Henry.

Henry dumps Zoe.

Zoe wants Henry back—at any cost.

Zoe’s two best friends come up with a plan to help Zoe get what she thinks she wants. The plan: make Henry jealous.

But the plan takes a surprising turn. . . .

Spanning thirty-one days in the cycle of a breakup, Kerry Cohen Hoffmann’s humorous and poignant novel depicts a girl whose single-minded focus on her ex-boyfriend has pulled her far from the person she most needs to win back—herself.

Released June 9th 2009

I've read the author's memoir, Loose Girl, she has a really engaging writing style. I've picked up one of her YA books, Easy and this new one sounds great as well! I love that the whole book takes place in a span of 31 days. And that cover just makes me squeal!

What can't you wait for to be released?

"Waiting On" Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine!

  1. I love novels where break ups are a catalyst for the protagonist to learn more about themselves...and hopefully snag a hottie.

I am unfamiliar with the author but it sounds like a real treat!

PS I don't think my 'book a day' plan is such a good idea, I think a crash is imminent.

  2. Adele- I'll save room for you on the hopefully 2 books a week train next to me :)

  3. The synopsis sounds fun, I'd love to read this with my bestfriend ^^

  4. I love the cover of this one :)

  5. Sounds like a good read-I'm interested in this one!

  6. The cover makes me squeal too! :D It's too cute! This book sounds very lovable from the synopsis!

  7. Well you've certainly put a good teaser out for us! Is it YA?

  8. I totally agree on the cover!

  9. The heart on that cover is gorgeous.

  10. I am waiting on this one too. Love the cover! It's so cute!

  11. Cute cover! I'm waiting on a ton of books but they're mostly the next book in a series.

  12. And adorable cover!

  13. Sounds like a good one! And I like the cover.

  14. I read Loose Girl and will probably pass on this one, simply because I'm far removed from that time in my life and those kinds of obsessive feelings.

  15. Score one for cuteness!

Her memoir was so engaging so I'd hope that comes across in her fiction as well!

    Mary- Yes it's YA!

LisaMM- Yes, while I didn't identify at all with her memoir, I was really hooked for some reason! I just love that!
