Love is the Higher Law by David Levinthan Pretend All Your Life by Joseph Mackin Not exactly the same but very close. I'll have to go with Love is the Higher Law in this case because in Pretend All Your Life the typography is trying much to hard to fit in with the picture and I feel like the title is yelling at me, doesn't look realistic.

The Levithan cover is better as the font is less obvious, if that makes any sense.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Adele. The font for Life looks pretty weird for me.
ReplyDeleteI like Love is the Higher Law too.
ReplyDeleteUm, do you even need me to say it? XD Obviously my David love causes me to say DAVID BOK FTW!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely going with the first cover. It's simple, eye-catching, and gorgeous! Plus the font is more subtle.
ReplyDeleteWhat's also interesting is that both of these books are about 9/11...
ReplyDeleteThe colors on the Levithan jacket are more pleasing to the eye. The other one is very monochromatic... like a black and white picture with the blue added afterward.
ReplyDeleteI like the concept tho.
I sort of like the black and white with blue overtones of the city for book two, but the font is too matchy matchy
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, I like Higher Law too. But I kind of like the way the spotlights become part of the title.
ReplyDeleteLove is the Higher Law all the way!

Obviously, Love is the Higher Law is the better cover. I agree that the other cover is trying to hard to fit in.
ReplyDeleteAnd wow, there were quite a few of us that mentioned this one lol.
