This month I watched 13 movies and 3 tv seasons on dvd!
Paper Heart- Cute, I loved how the boundaries of mockumentary and documentary were sort of blurred.
The Ugly Truth- Fun chick flick, Gerard Butler makes any movie better.
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past- Cute, kind of over the people in this movie for the time being but it was still fun.
Mad Men Season 2- Hadn't realized I had already seen half of this! I'm now onto Season 3 which I hear is amazing.
I Love You, Beth Cooper- This was sort of annoying, not that I didn't expect it. I really didn't like the lead guy, I definitely think I would like the book better.
Julie and Julia- Great! I loved this movie, hadn't realized I would love it so much! Interested in reading the book it was based on now!
Funny People- Beginning was funny and then got sort of weird towards the end. I still enjoyed it though.
Princess Protection Program- Cute Disney movie, funny to see two best friends do a movie together.
Bruno- This goes too far just like Borat sort of does, but this is worst. It still had its funny moments though, he excels in his interviews the rest is really just bad filler.
World's Greatest Dad- Definitely an interesting movie, I rather liked it.
Ace of Cakes Season 3- WOW. This show is GOOD! I've actually watched most of Season 5 and part of 6 and 7 as well with 1 and 2 on the way. Also ordered the book which looks AWESOME. I want to try my hand at creating cakes like this.
Ace of Cakes Season 4- Still awesome!
Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging- YES. I've been waiting FOREVER to see this. The director is fabulous and the book is hilarious no way this could go wrong and it sure didn't! The ending made me cry, so great!
Extract- Very annoying. Only reason I watched this was to see Jason Batemen, I've never been one exactly for this director/writers humor. Office Space was better but still not exactly for me.
500 Days of Summer- Rewatch of my favorite movie of the year (now out on dvd!), here's my review from earlier this year.
The Hangover- Funny but still no Old School....
So funny, I just watched Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging today with my 11 year old sis!!! This was one of the best movies out in 2009 and I was in love with it from beginning to end. RESULT!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging!! It was just awesome. I laughed throughout the whole thing, lol.
ReplyDeleteAnd oooh, 500 Days of Summer! That was lovely <3
I loved watching Angus , Thongs and Perfect Snogging. The essence of the books is so in there. Just loved it.
ReplyDeleteI have heard good things about Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past but yet to see it
I have Paper Heart here but haven't watched it yet.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree about Funny People. It did have some of the funniest lines I've heard in the long time!
And I watched Extract last night and laughed at some parts but wasn't sure with most of the characters whether we were supposed to like them or not.
I loved Julie and Julia, too - it's actually based on two books.
ReplyDeleteI loved Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging. I thought it was a good interpretation of the books. So sad the series is over!
ReplyDeleteI think I watched almost every movie you did and thought the same exact thing!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging. It was so adorable and I laughed my butt off throught the entire movie.
I haven't seen Old School so I think The Hangover was like the funniest movie I've ever seen. Zach Galifianakis is freakin' hilarious.
OK, I am officially DYING to see Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging. Sleepover time!
ReplyDeleteLoving the Angus love! Looks we are all on the same wavelength! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI want to see Angus, Thong & FFS too!! I absolutely love the books. My mom was ridiculously excited too when she found out there was a movie. She loves the books as well. 500 Days of Summer was fabulous and I am also in love with Ace of Cakes. I'm just loving all cake shows right, they're so cool! I agree with you about Funny People too. The beginning was pretty good and then it just seemed to lose focus near the end, which was too bad.
ReplyDelete"Gerard Butler makes any movie better"
ReplyDeleteAGREED!
*high five*
