This Year In Movies: March

This month I watched 5 movies and 2 tv shows! I'm slipping!

Alice in Wonderland- Pretty good, I still like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Edward Scissorhands better but I enjoyed Tim Burton's version of this classic.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 2- Still odd and strange, Danny DeVito joins the cast this season. I'll probably check out the rest of the seasons at some point.

Craft in America Season 2-
I held onto this for a LONG time before I watched it and it was great! Some interesting profiles on glass blowers, beaders and other crafty people.

Gentlemen Broncos- Just like this director's other movies, the opening credits were fantastic. The movie was pretty funny but towards the end it got really really weird. Worth a watch though I thought.

Couples Retreat- This was a fun movie! I think you have to be in the right mood for it though, it has a big cast of mostly familiar people. It was hilarious but also sweet!

Four Christmases- Apparently I had a Vince Vaughn weekend going here. I loved the gimmick this movie had, of 4 different Christmases, was fun to see how drastically different they were.

New Moon- This was a rewatch. It's strange, in the books I liked Edward but in the movies Jacob wins by a long shot!

  2. I saw Four Christmases on the plane at Christmas and liked it more than I thought I would.

  3. I haven't seen any of these, but everyone seems to feel about Alice the way you do.

  4. I saw three on this list, which makes me happy!! I wasn't all that impressed with Alice in Winderland, the imagery was amazing but the plotline didn't quite hit the spot with me. And YES Jacob is the team to be on lady, even though he does fall in love with what esentially is a half breed baby. And Four Christmases was hilarious.

I just saw Kick Ass and it made me laugh so hard!

  5. I totally agree about New Moon. I'm also book Edward and movie Jacob. The movie makes Edward a lot more depressed and creepy and leaves out Jacob's annoying immaturity.
