I suddenly see where I'm standing, and that's at the edge of change - really, really big change.
Eighteen-year-old Indigo Skye feels like she has it all - a waitress job she loves, an adorable refrigerator-delivery-guy boyfriend, and a home life that's slightly crazed but rich in love. Until a mysterious man at the restaurant leaves her a 2.5 million-dollar tip, and her life as she knew it is transformed.
At first its amazing: a hot new car, enormous flat-screen TV, and presents for everyone she cares about. She laughs off the warnings that money changes people, that they come to rely on what they have instead of who they are. Because it won't happen...not to her. Or will it? What do you do when you can buy anything your heart desires -- but what your heart desires can't be bought?
This is the story of a girl who gets rich, gets lost, and ultimately finds her way back - if not to where she started, then to where she can start again.
Not really fond of these covers, I mean what's with the feet? But they do give off a good sense of Indigo's carefree attitude towards life. I guess I like the paperback just a little bit more but I don't like how the focus is on the girl's foot and how you really can't make out her face.

Definitely the paperback. Much more cute and I like the daisies. I don't know why the emphasis on the feet, but it does give a summery, light-hearted kind of feel to it. Thanks!
ReplyDeletePaperback. I'm not a fan of big blocks of solid color on any covers. It's just not something that appeals to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with the hardcover on this one. The feet/flowers combo is strange and icky. It doesn't make me think of an appealing story!
ReplyDeletePaperback this time.
ReplyDeleteHmm well I'm not a big "feet" person but if I had to choose I'd go with the hardcover.
ReplyDeletePaperback is cute, but I'm kind of grossed out by the feet and the flowers. Hardcover for me!
ReplyDeleteI'm not particularly crazy about feet, especially feet bottoms, but still, I'm going with the paperback for this one.
