What's the Best Book You Have Read Lately?
Well guess what friends, I'm finally reading again! After months and months of just BLAHHH just blah books and just blah not wanting to read I'm finally enjoying it again!
Among other generally good books, I've read some rather un-put-downable books lately, Attachments by Rainbow Rowell (which I now consider one of my all time favorite books) and Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins, both I read in about a day or two. And those are exactly the kinds of book I need right now, ones that will keep me reading and reading and reading!
So I'm turning to you guys for some great suggestions for books you have read recently that you couldn't put down so I can keep myself on the right track and get back to my good ole friend reading once again!
Thanks!

The only recent book I've read that I couldn't put down was Nalini Singh's Kiss of Snow but it's the latest in a series so don't start with it. I am however going to follow up with your suggestions (though I read Anna and LOVED it.)
ReplyDeleteChime by Franny Billingsley was incredible! It's the best book I've read so far this year. It's very fantastical and is beautifully written.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite read of the year has been Eon by Alison Goodman. It's not a paranormal but it is a fantasy book (and full of awesome sword fights!)
ReplyDeleteYay for getting your reading groove back! I'm excited to see Attachments is so good. I just read and loved The Kitchen Daughter.
ReplyDeleteSome of the best of books I've read recently would have to be The Demon King- Cinda Willaims Chima, They Never Came Back- Caroline B. Cooney, The Emerald Atlas- John Stephens, Trash- Andy Mulligan, and People of the Longhouse- W. Michael Gear and Kathleen O'Neal Gear.
ReplyDeleteAll of these were so good nad really hard to put down.
I keep hearing good things about Anna and the French Kiss, so I'm really going to have to read it one day.
Orchid
The Haunting of Orchid Forsythia
I loved Anna too :)
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Delirium by Lauren Oliver right now and I can't put it down for even a second. I'm actually thinking about reading it right now! Lol.

My fav books recently have been Anna and the FK; Revolution; all 3 of Lindsey Leavitt's books; Saving Francesca; The Running Dream.
ReplyDeleteAlright, I'm about 99% sure everyone but me has already read this one, but I just read LHA's SPEAK this week. I also highly highly HIGHLY recommend Sara Bennett Wealer's RIVAL. So incredibly good omg.
ReplyDeleteYou've probably already read it, but I LOVED Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers. Blew me away. That's my favorite of this year so far, followed very closely by Slice of Cherry by Dia Reeves.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved Nickel Plated by Aric Davis. Blew me away. It was great.
ReplyDeleteNever Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro is amazing! But really, really sad.
ReplyDeleteBossypants Tina Fey.
ReplyDeleteAMAZING!
Blood Red Road was amazing. The Girl in the Steel Corset just sucked me in and I loved it. I love that style of storytelling!
ReplyDeleteThe best book I have read lately is VIOLETS OF MARCH...great story with a little mystery involved. Simply wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe most recent book I've read is The Tale of Two Goblins, its a paranormal romance e-book on Amazon. It's book two and really funny and cute, it's totally brain candy..
ReplyDeleteI love Attachments so much! It's one of my all time favorites too.
ReplyDeleteI've just finished Paper Towns, by John Green (when I should have been doing a paper for my Spanish class). Ugh! Seriously: now I know I'm going to read every single book that guy has written. :) I'll add Attachments to my wishlist, so thanks for the recommendation!
ReplyDeleteLoved Anna and the French Kiss. But I read that last year. I'm with Nikki on Chime. I just finished that one and agree with her assessment. It was beautifully written.
ReplyDeleteI loved Anna and the French Kiss, too! It served as a much needed break from all the depressing dystopian books I've been gobbling down lately. Another similar book that I read recently and really enjoyed was Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg. Oh! and the final Ruby Oliver book, Real Live Boyfriends, by e lockhart. I'll miss that girl!
ReplyDeleteThis week I was glued to C.J. Omololu's DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS and Patricia McCormick's SOLD.
ReplyDeleteI loved Anna, too.
You're a contemp girl so I'd go with Seam Griswold's Head, it was a great read. Where She Went was a super emotional read I couldn't put that one down for a second.
ReplyDeleteWish I could help but I'm in a bit of a reading funk, nothing I've read lately has held my interest. Maybe it's me??? REALLY glad to hear you loved Attachments!! Looking forward to your review..
