What I Saw And How I Lied By Judy Blundell
So the lookalike in this case is the cover model! I thought it might be fun to talk about which of their covers we liked better! When I saw the Devoured cover over at The Story Siren's blog, I just about died! The combination of the colors, font and that striking image make one heck of a cover. Doesn't mean I also don't like What I Saw and How I Lied but Devoured really makes an impact, I think the eye contact really makes it.
Which do you prefer?

I prefer the top one the yellow really pops.
ReplyDeleteI think I like the bottom cover because I can see her whole head.
ReplyDeleteWHAT I SAW AND HOW I LIED wins for me. And I loved the book. :)
ReplyDeleteI like Devoured better because it is more striking and (I realize that this is just me) I'm not that attracted to lipstick and compact. I love the black and yellow-green of the top cover.
ReplyDeleteThe eye contact, colors, composition makes Devoured stand out to me more. But I also like What I Saw and How I Lied. That book's been sitting in my TBR pile for months.
ReplyDeleteI like the first cover. Looks more attractive to me. The second one seems so dark.
ReplyDeleteI definitely like the cover of Devoured the best.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to be a cover model for books! :D
The top one I think looks better :)
ReplyDeleteI really really love the What I Saw cover even if I hated the book.
ReplyDeletewait- is that really the same person?
ReplyDeletei prefer the What I Saw... cover because it makes me curious to know what she is looking at. the red lipstick and red lips also are eye-catching.
ReplyDeletei wonder if the Devoured cover would be more appealing if a RED apple was used instead of the green granny smith one.
ReplyDeleteHuh. Nice spot! I would never have noticed something as subtle as that. I like the cover of Devoured more. The redness of her lipstick against the blues in the background, and that dress. I never understood what the model on the cover of What I Saw was doing. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI prefer Devoured's cover. The colors really pop!
ReplyDeleteI like Devoured the best...something about the shadows in the second cover bug me.
ReplyDeleteso that's where the devoured girl looked familiar from!! she also kind of looks like that girl from icarly...
ReplyDelete-amy
The back of the Devoured cover is awesome. It has a green apple with red liquid stuff oozing all over it like blood. And I really HATED What I Saw (the cover isn't black enough) so I vote for Devoured.
ReplyDeleteThe first, but I love her hair in the second. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the top one better. The blue dress, red lips, and yellow just makes her pale skin pop.
ReplyDeleteI love both covers so much, but I think the first one is really stunning with the face-forward eye contact!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I gave you an award here
The Blundell book, hands down! It's subtle, sophisticated and mysterious. Could have been Lauren Bacall posing for that one!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the cover of What I Saw and How I Lied, although I didn't really like the book.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors in Devoured as well.
ReplyDeleteI prefer What I Saw and How I Lied. It's what drew me to the book in the first place (and what a great book!)
ReplyDeleteOMG I'm loving this lookalike! Those girls are exactly the same! But Devoured is personally my favorite. It's so gorgeous! And I'm sure that girl was on a few of the Clique covers...
ReplyDeleteDevoured all the way. :) I love the blue. And the, um, guys... *blushes*
ReplyDeleteI agree with bookworm! She looks exactly like the girl from a few of the Clique covers!
