Well I finally did it, I made some amigurumi (Japanese crochet toys)!!!! Amigurumi was my goal in learning to crochet and knit so today I'm very happy with myself! I really think you can see my progress with these 3, i've put them in the order I made them. With the bunny and egg my stitches are a lot looser but I started to tighten up with the egg and with the pear I made my stitches as tight as I could and I think that's the way to go! I think they are all larger than the book says they should be but I think like they look somewhat like what they are supposed to be. It can only get better from here! All three of these patterns are from
Amigurumi World: Seriously Cute Crochet by Ana Paula Rimoli. It's funny the first two could be seen as Easter appropriate but I just picked ones that looked easy and cute!
Bunny
Egg

They look great! If looseness continues to be a problem, you can always go down to a smaller hook. It looks like your stitches got tighter with practice though. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe pear is my favorite! Hey, do you have a pattern for a apple? Can I commission you to make one? I'll pay!
ReplyDeleteToo cute!
ReplyDeleteOh this is so adorable!!
ReplyDelete*going to learn how to do just that* !
Oh my goodness, that pear is too cute for words. I love your cratfs, I wish I could make something that amazing but my artistic skills are seriously lacking :-) Yay, you already seem to have picked it up brilliantly, so imagine what they'll look like after more practise! can't wait to see some more
