I've noticed a lot of books recently dealing with middle eastern girls coming of age. Very interesting to me, seeing as I'm half middle eastern. I like to see how the characters balance two different cultures.
What are you waiting on to be released?
Sounds good! I especially love the part about the boy treating her normal when no one else does. That's sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I hadn't heard of this. It does sound good, and i like books that deal with other cultures as well.

I like book that deal with other cultures. It's especially exciting that different viewpoints on Middle Eastern women are starting to appear. They had been really limiting for awhile. I just read Cutting Loose by Nadine Dajani, which I really enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteThis does look like a good one!
ReplyDeleteNicole- I have Nadine Dajani on my wishlist! Glad to hear you enjoyed her!
ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone for your input!
