This Week In Books Or I Didn't Overdose On Books This Week! *pats self on back*

This was a calmer week in books. Still got some very potentially interesting things!

Monday: Best American Comics 2008 and Let It Snow came (the rest of my Amazon order). Anyone else obsessed with any of the Best American Series books? I also enjoy the Short Stories one and Non-Required Reading one. I've held off on buying the last two editions because of my massive TBR pile. Figured I should read all the others from the series that are sitting on my shelf. I also received from a bookmoocher, Find Your Inner Ugly Betty! Thanks Melissa!

Tuesday: nothing

Wednesday: Received Off The Menu for an upcoming Blog Tour. It will be my first!

Thursday: Weekly Library trip found me Vamps. I really know nothing about this book, series, author. Apparently I cannot leave without buying something. Anyone know anything about it? All I know is teenage girl vampires. In the mail from a bookmoocher came I Love You, Beth Cooper.

Friday: Going Down South arrived from author, Bonnie Glover.

Saturday: Lenore suggested Never Let Me Go on her blog this week. I took a peek inside and immediately snapped it up!

What did you get this week? Is your TBR pile taking over your life? Is your great goal in life to conquer your TBR pile and tell it who's boss?

Going Down South looks good to me. My TBR pile is growing faster than I can read, but, right now, I'm loving it.

  2. Anonymous4:08 PM

Yah! I have VAMPS on my shelf too. I love the author and it was thrilling to see her publish a new book. So...when are you planning on reading it? ;)

  3. i have a tour for Off the Menu in November. I also plan on reading Going Down South as well. Anna at Diary of an Eccentric recently gave it a rave review.

  4. Hi, I found a link to your blog on "S. Krishna's Books" thought I would check you out! I like your "Books read in 2008" idea, I like that you can click on them, I will have to come back and check them out, many I have not read yet!

  5. I also got Let It Snow from Amazon this week.

Paper Towns ARC came from a contest I won as well.

That's it in books for this week. Slow week. :P

  6. My TBR pile is gi-normous but it knows who is boss... sometimes. I did get some new ones this week lol. I won The Heretic Queen by Michelle Moran (and since it's the second book in that series I have to ILL the first one), a box of Hatchette books but I'm only keeping two and giving the rest to my father-in-law, my aunt-in-law and my mom, Dewey is one of the ones I'm keeping (the other is about the Titanic), and I also just bought the Wolfsbane and Mistletoe anthology.

  7. bermudaonion- Hehe. I love it too. I just wish my books could live on shelves and have their own room instead of being stashed all over the place!

lenore- I'm make sure to have tissues nearby!

    J. Kaye- Er, that is a good question. No idea! I swear eventually we will be reading the same book at the same time and we WILL do a noon-time chat!

serena- Oh yay! Tour buddies! I think I should be starting Off the Menu tomorrow morning!

wendy- S. Krishna is great! Thanks! I keep a paper list of the books I read so this is sort of an extension of that and easy access for recent reviews!

amee- I can't wait to read Let It Snow. Maybe Thanksgiving or Christmas eve, probably will wait for some snow! Yay for Papertowns!

ladytink_534-LOL! Boxes of books are awesome! That's so sweet of you to share them with your family!

  8. Anonymous8:41 PM

The thing is here is VAMPS is my book. I am not on a time line to read it. :) So when you are ready, let me know. If you want, I'll save it.

  9. J. Kaye- My guess is going to be 6 months to several years since I don't have any obligation to read it and i have 300+ other books wanting attention too! i guess it depends on what kind of reading kick I'm going through. Don't want to make you hold off on your book ban ending til then ;P So go ahead without me! I bet your review will help convince me to read it sooner!
