Now this is an interesting one, notice the middle dress, it changes colors between the two covers but not the other two really! I think my vote is going to Prama because I like the wide cropping and the beautiful saturation.
Which is your favorite?
Thanks to Val for pointing out this lookalike!
Prama wins this one. Beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteI guess this goes to show you, it's worth it to hold your own shoot and not rely on stock photos to avoid an embarrassing "omg that book is wearing the same dress to the party!" moment.
It's crazy that so many books have the same picture on the cover! Prama is definitely better here - I agree with you, the colors are just nicer.
ReplyDeleteI agree about Prama. Hard to believe that cover photos are so expensive that the exact same one has to be used multiple times.
ReplyDeletePrama - the vibrant colouring is much better.
ReplyDeleteActually some stock photos are as little as several dollars! I think sometimes those are the ones we see over and over again since they are so affordable!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Prama.
ReplyDeleteThe composition is WAY more interesting.
Prama it is! How do you find these things?
ReplyDeletePrama is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow -- those two dresses are almost exactly the same in both covers.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with Prama on this one. The colors are prettier on that one. The colors on the other one are just too.. dark.
hope.
I'd have to say Prama as well. The browns look too somber for a prom/homecoming.
ReplyDeleteI like Prama because it's more balanced (in addition to the colors.) I hate the cropping off of heads, but it looks more natural on Prama than on Homecoming Queen.
ReplyDeleteYes I totally agree, Prama wins. The Title and Author name on the the others looks confusing and cheezy. And who wears a brown dress to prom/homecoming? I like the scarlet one on Prama. Prama now added to my wishlist!
ReplyDeleteI think Prama's cover wins--so much more colorful and fun.
ReplyDeleteI found two covers this week that are similar but not identical. I'm not sure if you've already talked about them on here though. They are Outwitting History by Aaron Lansky and The Know-it-all by A.J. Jacobs.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I agree - I like Prama the best. I like the colors better.
ReplyDeleteHuh, so there ARE look-a-likes books (didnt notice till your blog). I found two look-alikes that are coming out this years XD
ReplyDeleteNorth of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley and Evermore by Alyson Noel. (you'll see the one in Evermore - what wasn't there. lol)
I think this time, I like them all the same. No faves this week. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the Prama cover. It always attracts my attention at the bookstore. I need to just go ahead and buy it!
ReplyDeleteAhh, prom! One of the most exciting (and overrated) experiences of a young person's life.
Thanks for weighing in everyone! And thanks again to Val who pointed this one out! If anyone reads any of these, I'll look forward to what you think!
ReplyDeleteAnon- That's a great lookalikes isn't it! Recently there was another cover that featured the same model in a different pose, pretty fun!
This is so fun! Prama wins for me. I can't believe that both books used the same shot and no one caught it!
ReplyDeleteLuanne- Yeah, it's pretty crazy, just how many lookalikes there are!
