Tuesday Thingers!

Were you aware of the Early Reviewer Program? Have you received any books from the program? If you have, how have you liked the book(s)? Any other thoughts on the LTER program?

I'm very aware of the Early Reviewers Program. The books I received from it were the first I ever reviewed! I believe I joined in its second month of existence. So far I've gotten selected for 11 books. I think this a great program and give mad-props to Abby for the wonderful job she has done, this program brings tons of joy to a lot of people!

I like how Lenore did a full list so I'm going to follow suite!

Gifted July 2007 (review)- Did not like this one, gave it 1.5 stars.

Gossips of the Starlings Jan 2008 (review)- Disappointing, gave it 2.5 stars.

Secrets of the Hollywood Girls Club March 2008 (review)- This was a fun book, wish I had realized it was a sequel before I started reading it, gave it 3.5 stars!

Love Marriage April 2008 (review)- I found this one interesting but it feel a little short, gave it 3.5 stars.

Loose Girl May 2008 (review)- This one too forever to show up, I ended up getting it in September, 4 months later! I found it very engaging, gave it 4 stars.

Summer Blowout June 2008 (review)- This was a fun book, perfect for the summer, I gave it 3.5 stars.

American Wife July 2008 (review)- I loved this one, gave it 5 stars.

Cracked Up to Be Oct 2008 (review)- I think this is the one I have been most excited for and it didn't disappoint, I gave it 5 stars.

Going to See the Elephant Nov 2008 (review)- I liked this one, gave it 4 stars.

Super In the City Dec 2008- haven't read yet *shame*

Five Minutes More Feb 2009- I just found out I got picked for this one today, what timing!

How about you, what have your experiences with LTER Program been like?

  1. You have been pretty lucky! Look at all those books. :)

  2. Anonymous8:48 PM

I love the LTER program. So far I have received four books, and there was one book I was supposed to receive about the Beijing Olympics that never came.

  3. I think I might love the LTER program. It is something I only recently began but I also got Five Minutes More in the February batch.:]

  4. Anonymous9:11 PM

I want my Early Review copy of FOOL! Argh!! I so desperately want to read that book.

It was the first time I had tried it, too. ;) You've had some luck!

  5. Anonymous2:28 AM

Ooh, you've been lucky! I find it interesting to see what books people have received and then think about what I know of their library. Yours seem to fit pretty well!

I've also not read my December OR January books, so don't feel bad!

  6. I've been pretty lucky, but not as lucky as you. My records aren't as good as yours either.

  7. Ooh-I got Five Minutes More too. I also got Cracked Up to Be but haven't read it yet. I've gotten some others, but have given them to co-workers since they've been something I would like to read, but knew I didn't have time to get to right away.

  8. Hmm...there goes my idea that I am getting no more books because I reached an unnamed limit. since you passed that limit....{{sob}}

  9. the American Wife is one that I would love to eventually read, so I'm really glad to see that you gave it 5 stars!

Thanks for stopping by and participating in Thingers last week! I've got the post up for this week, we're taking a look at the section called LT Member Giveaways. ~ Wendi

  10. Mari- I know! I can't believe it!

towerofbooks- Hopefully you will still get that book!

katie- Yay we got the same one! You'll love it, I know you will!

Cat- That's a bummer your first try and it's SLOW! :P

    Meghan- Me too! Aww thanks!

bermudaonion- Here is my secret, I just looked at my profile page, and read the comments from Abby! Never deleted them! :P

GreenBeanTeenQueen- Oooh, I loved Cracked Up to Be!

caite- Awww! I'm sorry! I wondered about that myself actually!

Wendi B- I loved it, and can't believe it's already out in paperback!
